WHAT IS A HOME SLEEP TEST (HST)?

When busy lives get in the way of scheduling a Sleep Study, we recommend our patients try a Home Sleep Test for quicker results. Home Sleep Tests (HST) are small, portable devices that make accurate sleep testing possible, all in the comfort of your own home.

 

These easy-to-use devices are worn overnight, generating the data needed to diagnose Sleep Apnea. While a HST is not as comprehensive as an in-lab study, this is a great start for new patients. An HST also yields quicker results and is a great indicator of whether or not an in-lab sleep study is necessary.
